Lubbock County seeks an experienced and visionary Director of Public Works to lead critical infrastructure planning and development. Reporting directly to the Commissioners Court, this role oversees transportation and drainage improvements, subdivision and permit review, and long-range planning to support the County's growth. The Director will manage budgets, guide a five-year transportation plan, and collaborate with local, state, and federal partners–including TxDOT–on road, bridge, and drainage projects. This leader will also serve as a trusted advisor to Commissioners, a liaison with community stakeholders, and a problem-solver during emergencies and weather events.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer with at least 7–10 years of progressive management or project leadership experience in civil engineering, public works, or infrastructure development. Strong communication, strategic planning, and team leadership skills are essential. Candidates with out-of-state PE licensure will be considered but must obtain a Texas PE within one year of hire.

Pottawattamie County is seeking a dedicated and innovative County Engineer to lead and oversee critical infrastructure projects that support the safety, efficiency and growth of our County. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team committed to public service, while managing a wide range of engineering responsibilities.
Work involves responsibility for the efficient, economical and good-faith construction and maintenance of all secondary roads in the County; pursuant to Iowa Code section 309.21 and related applicable sections, as well as Board policy, to adopt methods and recommend personnel and equipment necessary to continuously maintain the county's road system in the best condition practicable. With the upcoming retirement of NACE member Guy Kohlnhofer, Dodge County, MN is accepting applications for a full-time County Engineer.  This position directs the operation and provides professional engineering services for the highway department responsible for planning, design, construction and maintenance of the county road system, county state aid system, and oversees the township bridge system.
