NACE Welcomes Kevan Stone as Executive Director

Kevan Stone has been named NACE’s Executive Director, effective May 14. Kevan will serve as the spokesman for NACE and the nation’s county infrastructure professionals, those tasked with ensuring the safety of nearly one-half of the nation’s roads and 40% of our bridges.

Kevan will guide the federal advocacy with aligned organizations and partners; and promote issues crucial to modernizing America’s infrastructure. He will also direct the operations, corporate and external relations, initiatives and staff of the association.

"The safety of American infrastructure is central to NACE's mission,” said President Rich Sanders, County Engineer for Polk County, Minnesota. “Kevan's experience within the halls of Congress as well as working with county governments lends him a unique vision to effectively lead the nation's county infrastructure professionals."

"I am honored to lead the National Association of County Engineers. Having worked with NACE, I know firsthand their dedication to the safety of our nation's infrastructure," Kevan added. "With our members, I look forward to working with Congress and the Administration to improve the nation's infrastructure network to ensure county roads and bridges remain safe and able to keep pace with today's global economy."

Kevan previously served as the Associate Legislative Director for Transportation and Infrastructure at the National Association of Counties (NACo). He led all policy development and advocacy pertaining to the county role in ownership and maintenance of roads, bridges, airports and other important infrastructure.

Prior to NACo, Kevan served as Policy Advisor for former House of Representatives Transportation Committee Chairman John L. Mica. Kevan received his BA in Political Science from the University of Central Florida.
