Thurston County seeks an experienced executive with an extensive and diverse background in the public works environment. The Public Works Director provides the Board of County Commissioners with expert guidance and advice regarding the services that are critical to improving quality of life for residents and visitors of Thurston County; from roads, bridges and traffic control - to parks, water & sewer utilities, solid waste management, lake water quality, noxious weed eradication, sustainable environmental education practices and so much more.

As a passionate and charismatic leader, the Director advances the Department's mission, builds strong alliances; as well as develops and puts into motion long range plans to further develop and expand the Department's mission and goals.
