Are you an experienced engineer who has a proven record of successfully overseeing and coordinating roadway rehabilitation programs?   Are you adept at identifying potential solutions to significant issues by effectively communicating and collaborating with others?

If you have the requisite experience and you enjoy working in a fast-paced, project-driven engineering environment, this position may present the ideal opportunity for you!

Under the direction of an Engineering Manager, Engineering Supervisor or designee, perform a variety of professional engineering duties in planning, programming, design, analysis, funding, implementation and coordination of Public Works Transportation Engineering and other municipal public works projects. 

Work is characterized by experienced and advanced professional engineering duties involved in the oversight and coordination of the City's roadway rehabilitation programs, including project selection, preparation and review of designs, cost estimates and construction plans for public works improvement projects.  The incumbent is also required to coordinate communications with the construction engineer during construction.  The incumbent's duties typically include contact with the public, contractors, developers, City personnel and other agencies.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Experience

6 years of technical Civil Engineering design experience.  Experience with a focus on transportation engineering is preferred.

In place of the above requirements, the incumbent may possess any combination of relevant education and experience which would demonstrate the individual's knowledge, skill and ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
