Introduction to "Local Roads Matter" Campaign.


In February 2010, Chris E. Bauserman, the County Engineer for Delaware County, Ohio, then current NACE President and now NACE Past President, sat down with Rick Swist, Director of Strategy and Policy with the Association Development Group, Inc. to discuss the Local Roads Matter! campaign of the National Association of County Engineers or NACE. Our nation’s local roads are critical to every facet of our lives. Safe and efficient roads and bridges are necessary for economic vitality, for community revitalization and to sustain our overall quality of life. Part 3/5 Restore the Partnership Congressional Briefing - Transportation.
NACo held its second Restore the Partnership Congressional Briefing June 22, 2009 in the Dirksen Senate Office Building. The issue: counties' role in the country's transportation system. Participating were: NACo Legislative Director Edwin Rosado; Alameda County, Calif. Supervisor Scott Haggerty, who chairs NACos Transportation Committee; and Dunn County, Wis. Supervisor Dan Fedderly, who chairs NACos subcommittee on highways.
