Come prepared! Cincy mid-April average temperatures are a high of 65 and low of 45 at night, so bring a jacket plus rain gear. Chances are it won't downpour, but light or moderate rain could occur. The tours will include some walking, so wear comfortable shoes.
What is Cincy cuisine? You know their chili – 2-way, 3-way, 4-way, and 5-way. It has cinnamon added and is served on spaghetti. Barbeque here is pulled pork and ribs, and the sauce is sweet. And for breakfast you’ll want to try Goetta, a sausage with pin oats brought here by German immigrants.

Sights and Sounds of Cincy
The day tour includes a boat ride and walking portions.
Attend the Guest Breakfast, where you’ll be informed on the history and grandeur of the National Landmark, the Hilton Netherland Plaza. A French Art Deco masterpiece opened in 1931, featuring the Hall of Mirrors, modeled after the Palace of Versailles in France, and stunning Brazilian rosewood and exquisite frescoes, ceiling murals, and an original Rookwood fountain.
Enjoy lunch aboard the luxurious Belle of Cincinnati, and take in the sights along the Ohio River in Steamboat Style!
Dig deeper into the storied past during the Queen City Underground Tour. Descend to a hidden crypt where some of Cincinnati’s first residents were buried. And explore newly discovered tunnels vital to its brewery heritage.
After an active day, relax at your State Affiliate Dinner.
Tuesday, April 11
Flowers and Freedom Tour
After the Guest Breakfast, stroll through the Krohn Conservatory, built in Eden Park in 1933 at the height of the Art Deco era. Enjoy the bonsai, desert garden, orchids, and palms. And the ever-popular Butterfly Show where they’re all free to fly.
Enjoy Lunch with NACE delegates and learn what’s to experience in The Dells, Wisconsin, for NACE 2018!
At the Underground Railroad Freedom Center learn about Cincy’s role, as thousands of slaves crossed the Ohio River to freedom here. Exhibits also examine the fight for freedom that continues today in many countries.
Save some energy for Dinner and Dancing at the Newport Aquarium, where we'll taste a bit of Cincy and sip some local beer.
Arrive early as there’s much to see—Canyon Falls with otters, jellyfish gallery, frog bog, gator alley. Walk over the open shark bridge!
